An amazing week in Italy.....
What a week. I am on my way home and I thought I would do an update.
Working with Mario Paci and Fabrizio Ciampi is wonderful. We came up with so many ideas that will roll out over the next couple of months.....where do i start?
- The Officine Firenze line of straps will change to Officine Firenze by Mario Paci. We are updating this line of straps with new leathers and buckles. All hand made in the Cuoierie Mecchaniche Brelli di Ciampi and certain to fill your fantasies of vintage straps for Panerai watches
- We have chosen the leather for the next edition of Mario Paci straps.....Mario Paci XIII the "3646." This may just be the best one yet. Why? We searched and came up with leather that is no where near anything that you have seen since the 1940's straps on Panerai watches. They will be here before you know it.
- Giovanni e Figlio continues to grow with its "Historically Cutting Edge" style of magnificent straps for your Panerai watches. In February a whole new line will be coming out to join the Bersagliere, the Incursore, the La spezia and the Palombari...the GeF continues to show its roots while constantly keeping the newest styles. I guess everything new is old again.
- Stay tuned for the "Giglio" line of straps that will give you a whole new perspective on after market straps to enhance your Panerai experience.
- The TC Marina will be coming back to Castelfiorentino, the original home of the waterproof strap. No other strap can say that it has the pedigree of the TC Marina.
- Mario Paci will introduce "Paci Pelli"...a whole new line of leather accessories.
- Mario will also be joining in on an "Ask Mario Paci" forum on Viapaneristi to handle all your questions about Pre-Vendome and Vintage Panerai watches and the straps that adorned them.
There is so much more that I will be sharing with you next week as well as showing pictures of our adventures in the tanneries, creating in the Officine, and life in the Hills of Tuscany.
Thank you
Elliot
